AI Impressionism: Dynamic & Serene Landscapes

Exhibited at the "TOP20 Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition" alongside the most important ink painters from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. New media artist Hsin-Chien Huang and Peppercorns participated, using AI to transform traditional ink painting imagery into art that is both contemporary and interactive. Five historically significant Chinese shanshui paintings were combined with machine learning — after the computer learned the shanshui painting style, it generated 15,000 works. When viewers walk into the projected canvas and move, the work captures their body movements and renders ink-wash diffusion effects. When viewers stop, their postures are transformed into shanshui-style "trees" that can be interacted with. The work fuses historical and new media dialogue, blending tradition with the digital.
