"The Sandbox Reconstruction Project" is a five-and-a-half-minute interactive sound and light performance combining projection, interaction, and laser. The concept departs from the Tower of Babel — humanity building a tower to approach the Creator. Though the story ends with linguistic division, conflict, and the tower's collapse, we imagine a different outcome. A sandbox is a safe space created within a computer for testing new environments. The work unfolds in six movements depicting artificial environments, where sound and image are tightly interwoven, and audiences can move freely, feeling how their bodies influence the visuals. Movement I, "Void / NULL," uses laser in an image-free space to evoke the Big Bang's creation of the world. Movement II, "Boolean," presents only black (0) and white (1) — the only language computers understand — filling the space with bits. Movement III, "Data," addresses big data and data science discussed since 2010, visualizing packets and databases. Movement IV, "Machine Consciousness," transforms data computation into something more organic, seemingly alive, representing neural network operations. Movement V, "Artificial Nature," imagines a future where machines generate creativity, music, paintings, and new species — and may eventually create flowers, oceans, and sunlight, not needing to find a second Earth but having the ability to build one. The final Movement VI, "Return to Humanity," is filled with hope and anticipation for tomorrow. Whether or not we are programmed with fixed code, whether or not the world follows a single algorithm perpetually generating itself, what matters most is our ability to feel and to give emotionally to one another. A puppy represents what we believe is the most unburdened vessel for emotional giving. "One more thing" — after people connect and grow close, the piece ends with the kind of playful joke only good friends share, perhaps leaving everyone with a knowing smile.
